Hope Media

For many years, the Chairperson of Globe Union, Mr. Scott Ouyoung, has spared no efforts in promoting public welfare. Hope Media was established in November 2016, a foundation aiming to help the disadvantaged. 


The aim is to create a multi-modal media platform to report on good and beautiful things in Taiwan, advocating public welfare and justice issues, and the spirit of “seeing what is right and do it” Mr. Ouyoung’s initiative aims to raise awareness of social issues.

Hope Media can connect non-profit organizations so that they can mutually benefit from their shared resources and experience. It can also directly support individuals in need by providing necessary and timely assistance.

 

Hope Media host multiple events to support the mission of Hope Media in the local communities. The events such as Taiwan Yixing Award, Hope Media Award, Native & Hakka Intergeneration Creative Competition, and the children’s theater of “Hope Media Character Education” go a long way in making a difference to those in need.

Crystal Vision Award

- From World Vision

Globe Union has been a committed partner (to World Vision) since 2005 supplying downfall, excess inventory to World Vision to help hundreds of families throughout the US following financial crisis and disasters.  Since 2009 the Globe Union headquarters in Woodridge, IL hosts a yearly World Vision Team Building event to supply much needed school supplies to students in their neighborhood to ensure they have much needed supplies to provide hope to families. Globe Union has also been a Crystal Vision Breakfast sponsor since 2005.  In additional to sponsoring the breakfast, Globe Union has assigned an executive to serve on the CV Executive Committee to promote the event within the building material industry

During the 2019 Crystal Vision Event, we received two awards:

  • Globe Union Fixtures received the Crystal Vision Partnership Award. It’s an award given to a manufacturing company that has supported The Storehouse program of World Vision for a minimum of five to seven years.
  • Amy Eaton (HR Manager in Woodridge) received the Lifetime Achievement Award. It’s an award given to an individual who has consistently supported the Crystal Vision Award event and The Storehouse program for a minimum of eight years.

The company continuously pushes for and take part at charity events.

Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Cancer Support to raise money to provide vital cancer services, research and campaign to achieve better cancer care, and support the cancer workforce.

We to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support.

PJH selected Macmillan Cancer Support as “Charity of The Year” and resulting in a £21,531 donation in 12 months. (May 2023 – Jun 2024)
