We recognize that society is made up of people playing different roles. For our trustworthiness to be recognized, we must engage positively with people of all kinds, and with whom we have a range of relationships.

Building an exceptional working environment within a framework of corporate social responsibility delivers mutual benefits to everyone in our network of business and social partners.

Our Society

For Globe Union, our society consists of:

  • Customers

  • Citizens

Our core values in social engagement are those of trustfriendship and respect. By keeping these values in mind in our day-to-day operations, we have built strong business connections that have sustained our continuous growth and success since our company began.

These relationships can only grow stronger, and continue to maintain our position as a market leader and valued partner to all who make up our society of friends and colleagues.

Trust and Friendship

By winning the trust and friendship of our society of people with whom we build strong and effective partnerships, we are also fulfilling our social responsibility.

Our strong positive relationships drive sustainable development that goes beyond the continuing success of our business. In this way, our success is shared with everyone we engage with as we carry out our business.

The company continuously pushes for and implements environmentally friendly activities. It supports and sponsors groups who directly benefit society.

These include the Straits Economic & Cultural Interchange Association, Hope Media Foundation, Taichung Processing Region Friendship Association, World Vision, City of Hope and Children‘s Miracle Network Hospitals, which has long supported by us and our colleagues.

Hope Media

For many years, the Chairperson of Globe Union, Mr. Scott Ouyoung, has spared no efforts in promoting public welfare. Hope Media was established in November 2016, a foundation aiming to help the disadvantaged.

The aim is to create a multi-modal media platform to report on good and beautiful things in Taiwan, advocating public welfare and justice issues, and the spirit of “seeing what is right and do it” Mr. Ouyoung’s initiative aims to raise awareness of social issues.

Hope Media can connect non-profit organizations so that they can mutually benefit from their shared resources and experience. It can also directly support individuals in need by providing necessary and timely assistance.

Hope Media, working with the Help Care Association, staged the Hydrovege Christmas Concert on  December 24th, 2016, on a hydroponic farm in front of the Yuemei Police Station in Houli. More than 300 participants participated in this event, and three community organizations and three schools jointly planned this activity.

People in the communities in Houli learned how children from disadvantaged families are supported by church activities.

Participants also gained a greater understanding of the potential that can be found in children today, and received a stronger awareness of the intentions of schools and educational institutions in promoting social engagement and welfare.
